Megan Marlow-O’Connor, Ph.D. received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2005 (formerly the Chicago Medical School) and completed a combined clinical and research neuropsychology fellowship at the University of Illinois Chicago. She was the recipient of the Scottish Rite Fellowship for schizophrenia research from 2001 to 2003. Dr. Marlow-O’Connor has worked extensively with forensic patients, at both the Elgin Mental Health Center’s Forensic Treatment Program and the Isaac Ray Forensic Group, and has additionally been a part of IRFG’s Public Safety Program.

Specialty areas of research and practice include the use of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to identify brain pathology in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, the relationship between severe mental illness and cognition, and the neuropsychological assessment of adolescents (12 and older), adults and geriatric patients with memory disorders, neurologic insult or disease, attention deficit and learning disorders. Dr. Marlow-O’Connor additionally has specialized training in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of mood disorders.
